BANK HOLIDAY CLOSURE

The Surgery and Dispensary will be closed on Monday 2nd May for the May Day Bank Holiday.  We will re-open as normal on Tuesday 3rd May.  If you require medical assistance whilst we are closed, please call NHS 111.  If you have a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999. 

CLOSED FOR STAFF TRAINING

The Surgery and Dispensary will be closed on Thursday 19th May 2022 from 12.30pm for staff training due to an MECCG Shutdown. Please call 111 if you require medical assistance on that afternoon.

Please collect any medication in the morning, Thank you.

The surgery will resume normal service at 8.30am on Friday 20th May 2022

Please note that this is for medical data which may be shared with third parties. Your Summary Care Record will not be affected by this and will still be shared with hospitals and other NHS care providers only, unless you want to opt out from that too. Collection of GP Data NHS Digital released a statement last month regarding the launch of the new system they will be using to collect GP data, called the General Practice Data for Planning and Research (GPDPR) service. The statement highlights that NHS Digital will only share data with organisations who have a legal basis and meet strict criteria to use it for local, regional and national planning, policy development, commissioning, public health and research purposes. They have also developed a public advice webpage to explain how and why the data is being used.

We are a Research Ready Accredited Practice who carry out clinical research. Clinical research is how we develop new treatments and knowledge for better health and care, building the evidence for new approaches that are safe and effective. We work in collaboration with Mid and South Essex University Hospitals Group.

We are currently working with our patients on the PROMDEP study. This is a study to see if giving personal feedback to patients with depression, or low mood, would be useful. As part of this we are asking patients to complete a PHQQ-9 questionnaire. A copy can be viewed or downloaded here:
