BM MRCGP BSc DRCOG

Dr David Oliver qualified from the University of Southampton in 1996, and did his GP vocational training in Salisbury, Wilts. He joined the Freshford Practice as a full-time partner in October 2004. He has special interests in dermatology and minor surgery. He is the senior partner.

DR KIM ANDREWS

MBChB (hons), MRCGP, DFFP, DRCOG, LoC IUT, LoC IUT, LoC SDI-IR, PgD Diabetes and Endocrinology

Dr Kim Andrews graduated from Liverpool University in 2000. Subsequent to this, she completed hospital posts in Merseyside and Mid Essex before joining Freshwell Health Centre in 2003 as a Registrar. From 2004 until 2010 she worked as a clinical assistant at the Health Centre. In 2010 she was promoted to partner. Her particular areas of interest include diabetes, gynaecology and contraception. She is also very keen to promote a low carbohydrate/real food diet and lifestyle change as a way of managing chronic disease.

DR WILLIAM WALKER

MBBS BSc MRCGP

Dr Walker qualified from Barts & The London Medical School in 2005 and then spent 3 years on the Chelmsford General Practitioner Vocational Training Scheme qualifiying in 2011. He has worked at Freshwell Health since 2011 and became a partner in October 2016.

DR RUTH STEVENSON

MBBS BSc DCH MRCGP

Dr Ruth Stevenson qualified from Charing Cross and Westminister Medical School in 1999. Following this she worked at The Chelsea and Westminister Hospital and also abroad. She completed her GP training in Mid Essex.

DR SAMANTHA LOW

MBBS MBSc MRCGP PGCert Med Ed

Dr Samantha Low qualified from Kings College London in 2009 and completed GP training in Manchester in 2016. She joined Freshwell as a salaried GP in 2018. She has a special interest in Medical Education and trains registrars (qualified doctors who are becoming GPs) at the surgery and regionally as a Mid Essex GP Training Programme Director. She fits contraceptive coils and implants.

DR LAURA THOROGOOD

BM MRCGP DCH DRCOG DFSRH

Dr Laura Thorogood graduated from the University of Southampton in 2006 and completed her GP vocational scheme training in Surrey. She has been working locally since 2011, joining Freshwell Health Centre in 2021. Dr Thorogood has an interest in women's health, menopause and contraception. She fits contraceptive implants.

DR RANDIKA LIYANAGE

Dr Randika Liyanage is our new General Practice Specialty Registrar starting at the practice from August 2023. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka in 2017 and has had more than five years postgraduate experience working in a wide variety of specialities within the medical field
